FIFA confirmed on Thursday the 20th the full schedule of the 2027 Women's World Cup, with the date, kick-off time and venue set for all 64 matches of the tournament in Brazil. The announcement came during the draw for the preliminary stage of the play-off tournament, at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
Brazil, the host nation, open at the Estadio do Maracana, in Rio de Janeiro, on Thursday 24 June 2027. Their other two group stage matches are at the Arena Itaquera, in Sao Paulo, on Tuesday 29 June, and at the Estadio Nacional, in Brasilia, on Sunday 4 July.
The eight host cities each receive at least seven matches, including at least one knockout tie. Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador host matches up to the round of 16. Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza join Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo as quarter-final venues.
Sao Paulo hosts a semi-final and the third place play-off. The other semi-final and the final go to the Maracana, which becomes the third stadium in the world to host both a men's and a women's World Cup final, alongside the now demolished Rasunda, in Solna, Sweden (1958 and 1995), and the Rose Bowl, in Pasadena, in the United States (1994 and 1999). "We cannot wait to witness a new chapter in the history of women's football, when the best players, coaches, fans and local communities in the world take centre stage in Brazil next year," said FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
"The girl Aline, who played football on the streets of Sao Paulo, could never have dreamed of a day like this," said
Aline Pellegrino, former captain of the Brazil national team and executive director of legacy and institutional relations for the 2027 Women's World Cup. The full schedule is available on the [official FIFA site](https://www.inside.fifa.com/media-releases/womens-world-cup-2027-brazil-maracana-match-schedule-unveiled), published on 20 August 2026.
